 A Word from the Editor
Just Like Cheese and Wine,
Running Gets Better with Age
Jennifer Zuri
I can't believe I'm going public with this, but in 2009 I'll become a quinquagenarian! Yes, it's true. I'm joining the ranks of Madonna, Donny Osmond, Ellen DeGeneres, Michael Jackson, and Joan Benoit Samuelson.
If you haven't figured it out yet, a quinquagenarian is someone who's in their 50s. Although each passing decade bothers me when it comes to number of years lived, I'm finding there's cause to celebrate.

| Runner's Bio ~
Winston Rasmussen
How long have you been running and how did you get started?
I ran the Mile and XC in HS but like many of us became a real slacker until I retired in 2001. I needed something to fill in the void and take off a few pounds. I met a runner at Lifetime Fitness and he introduced me to the Windrunner running club. There were several members who regularly ran the CARA circuit and I immediately got hooked on competitive racing.
How long have you been President of FRTR and what prompted you to get involved? I took over as President in 2005 and I guess it was my career experience as a Project Manager that caused me to just want to dig in and help.

Updates from the Moss Family
Many of you remember Gary and Mary Moss. Gary was very instrumental in forming the Fox River Trail Runners club as we know it today. Gary and Mary were very involved in directing the club's activities for several years. Gary is also a Hall of Fame member of The Chicago Area Runners Association (CARA).
Gary, Mary and Krista moved to North Carolina in 2007 and they are now dominating the local east coast running scene. I'm sure they would be glad to hear from friends here in the western burbs so if you would like to contact Gary he can be reached at GMoss@nc.rr.com. Gary will be in town over the Thanksgiving holidays, and recently sent this note ...
